What documents does Meru Gifting need to start an order?
We need your company GSTIN for the invoice, a PO number or authorised letterhead confirming the order, the delivery address list (single office or multi-city), and sign-off on the branding mock-up before we move to bulk production.
Do I need a formal PO, or is an email confirmation enough?
A formal PO number is preferred for accounting but not mandatory — many teams confirm via an approved quote and email sign-off, and we issue the GST invoice against that confirmation. Larger enterprise buyers usually route through their procurement system with a PO.
Can Meru Gifting be added as a vendor on GeM or an internal vendor portal?
Yes — we are a registered GeM (Government e-Marketplace) vendor, and we regularly complete vendor onboarding forms for private company procurement portals, including PAN, GSTIN and bank details as required.
What does the GST invoice cover, and can I claim input tax credit?
The GST invoice covers the full order value including 18% GST, but note that input tax credit on goods given as gifts is blocked under Section 17(5)(h) of the CGST Act. The invoice is still needed for your accounting records; confirm treatment with your CA.
