Short answer: A corporate hamper at Meru Gifting moves through five stages — brief, mock-up, sourcing, hand-assembly, quality check — taking 7-15 working days for a 50-piece branded order. I have walked this floor for 14 years and it never runs itself; someone has to watch it.

How does a corporate hamper order actually start?
It starts with a WhatsApp message or a call, almost never a form. Someone from HR or admin tells me the headcount, the occasion and a rough budget. I ask what the team already got last year — repeating a gift is the fastest way to make a hamper feel like an afterthought. From there we shortlist two or three combinations within their per-person budget, usually ₹500-₹1,500, and send photos the same day.
What happens at the mock-up stage?
We build one physical hamper exactly as it will ship — same box, same filler, same branding — before touching the other 49 or 500. I insist on this even when a client is in a rush, because I have seen what happens when we skip it: a logo placed a centimetre too high, a ribbon colour that photographs differently under studio light than on WhatsApp. A mock-up costs us a day. A reprint costs a client their launch date.
Where do the items in a hamper come from?
Some come off our shelf — steel bottles, PU diaries, bamboo tech accessories — and some are made to order by artisan partners under our Dharohar programme, working in Moradabad brass, Dhokra metal casting, Kashmiri papier-mâché and a dozen other crafts across 25+ states. A hamper mixing a Kamal Metal Lotus Tealight Holder with a steel bottle needs two supply chains to land in our studio on the same week, which is the part nobody sees and the part I worry about most.
Stainless Steel Bottle with Gift Box 1000 ml₹850 · MOQ 50 branded
Kamal Metal Lotus Tealight Holder (Set of 2)₹499
PU Diary with Gold Trim and Magnetic Clasp₹450 · MOQ 50 branded
Corporate Travel Desk Hamper₹8,999 · MOQ 50 branded
Who actually packs the hamper?
A small team at our Gandhinagar studio, by hand, on trestle tables — not a machine line. For orders above a few hundred pieces we run it in batches of 50 so that if item three in the sequence runs short, we catch it at batch one rather than piece 480. Each packer follows a one-page spec sheet: item order, ribbon direction, insert card placement. I still walk the floor during a big Diwali run because a spec sheet cannot catch everything a tired eye can.

What quality checks happen before a hamper ships?
Every finished hamper is weighed against a reference sample and opened at random for a visual check — logo alignment, item count, no missing filler. On branded runs we photograph one hamper per batch of 50 and share it with the client before the full lot leaves the studio, which has saved us from at least one wrong-shade reprint that I remember too well from an early year in business.
How long does the whole process take?
Standard branded hampers take 7-15 working days from an approved mock-up. Bespoke or heavily artisanal hampers can run longer because we are waiting on a craft partner's own production cycle, not on us. Diwali is the exception that breaks every timeline if you let it — I tell every client to place festive orders 4-6 weeks out, and I mean it every single year, including for my own scheduling.
Can a client see this process in person?
Yes. Walk-ins are welcome Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 7 PM, at #273/2, SC Road, 2nd Cross, Gandhinagar, Bengaluru 560009, and we run video-call shopping for teams outside Bangalore who still want to see a mock-up assembled live before committing to 50 or 500 pieces.
Days 1-2: headcount, budget and occasion shared; one physical mock-up built and approved before anything else moves.
Days 3-10: items sourced from stock or artisan partners, hand-assembled in batches of 50 on our studio floor.
Days 11-15: batch photography, spot checks, GST invoice generated, dispatch to pan-India addresses across 25+ states.
Want to see a mock-up before you commit?
Share your headcount and budget; we'll build one sample hamper first, exactly as it will ship.
